Free Nursery Places for 2, 3-4 year olds

We have Nursery places available for 2, 3-4 year olds throughout the academic year, To register your child with us please take a look below to see if your child is eligible and then come along to the Centre to register your interest bringing your child's Birth Certificate and proof of address.

Free 3 and 4 year old Early Education Entitlement Nursery Places

All children are entitled to 15 hours Nursery education from the school term after their 3rd birthday until they start in Reception class (information below).

A child born between

  • 1st April to 31st August will be eligible for a free place from September (The start of the Autumn following 3rd birthday)
  • 1st September to 31st December will be eligible for a free place form January (The start of Spring Term following their 3rd birthday)
  • 1st January to 31st March will be eligible for a free place from April (The start of the Summer term following their 3rd birthday)

Free 2 year old Early Years Entitlement

An eligibility check needs to be done before your child can start (details below), this can be done in the funding periods below at

  • Children born 1st January to 31st March (inclusive) will become eligible for the free 2 year old Early Years entitlement in the Summer funding period (1st April - 31st August) - therfore the check can be done form the 1st January.
  • Children born 1st April to 31st August (inclusive) will become eligible for the free 2 year old Early Years entitlement in the Autumn funding period (1st September - 31st December) - therefore the check can be done form the 1st April.
  • Children born 1st September to 31st December (inclusive) will become eligible for the free 2 year old Early Years entitlement in the Spring funding peiod (1st January - 31st March) - therefore the check can be done form the 1st September.
